The crazy energetic harmonies and breezy California sound of Brian Bonz & the Major Crimes would have felt right at home in an episode of The O.C., despite the fact that Bonz is a full-fledged New Yorker, straight outta BK. Their sound skates effortlessly from lo-fi pop to dreamy shoegaze to cutesy folk. They’re not afraid to experiment, and Bonz plays the role of the passionate singer just as well as the role of the kooky front man. November is an awesome month for them, as they are playing The Rock Shop on November 16 and Mercury Lounge on November 19.
